October 19.  Another party in the backyard sukkah–this one to end the sukkot holiday.  (See October 13.)  I like the child leaving the tent on the right side of the photo.

October 13.  We have a Sukkah in our backyard that our friends upstairs built for Sukkot, the Jewish holiday.  It’s a tent with pine branches on top–you’re supposed to be able to see the sky.  It’s decorated inside with balloons and paper chains the kids made. During the weeklong holiday, the idea is that you eat and even sleep in it (they’re not sleeping out there).  It’s to remember the 40 days in the wilderness.
