Got to tour Jeremy and Aimee’s urban farm this evening, which includes gardens, fruit trees, chickens, and mushrooms. Amazing.

April 18.  Another new trick.  Isaiah walked on stilts today!  He picked it up pretty quickly.  To fall, he crosses his hands across his chest and drops to his knees.  There’s padding in the knee section of the stilts.  Harry, his future uncle, taught him.

October 13.  We have a Sukkah in our backyard that our friends upstairs built for Sukkot, the Jewish holiday.  It’s a tent with pine branches on top–you’re supposed to be able to see the sky.  It’s decorated inside with balloons and paper chains the kids made. During the weeklong holiday, the idea is that you eat and even sleep in it (they’re not sleeping out there).  It’s to remember the 40 days in the wilderness.
